Zynga announced on the precipice of 2013’s arrival that it is closing for business eleven of its somewhat well-known titles.

While some have already been dumped from their respective app stores and social sites, others have simply stopped accepting new players. The move comes as yet another aggressive cost-cutting measure for the financially embattled company.

For now, Zynga will still maintain more than 30 games in the active category across such platforms as Facebook, iOS, Android, Myspace, and other leading social sites. The eleven titles that have been shelved include:

  • PetVille
  • Mafia Wars 2
  • FishVille
  • Vampire Wars
  • Treasure Isle
  • Indiana Jones Adventure World
  • Mafia Wars Shakedown
  • Forestville
  • Montopia
  • Mojitomo
  • Word Scramble Challenge

Are you disappointed with the curtailed existence for these games?
