This week, the folks at Zumobi – a leading mobile media company – tapped Marla Schimke to serve as vice president of marketing.

According to details made available in the announcement, Schimke is a 16-year veteran of the industry who offers the company a “unique blend of technology and marketing knowledge” based on her experience at successful start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.

“There is no doubt in my mind that mobile is the future of advertising and that Zumobi will continue to take the lead with their unique and comprehensive approach to the market,” Schimke said upon assuming her new duties. “While mobile is rapidly growing, the opportunity to work with an innovative team like Zumobi doesn’t come along often, and I am excited to build on the work already done to evolve the company.”

Schimke will lead Zumobi’s marketing strategy to elevate the brand and launch the company’s new advertising solutions and premium media properties that are available across multiple mobile platforms and devices.
