michael11 years ago01 mins

WWE will present the first ever Social Media Smackdown tomorrow on live television.

The program is being billed as social media television event that will include live social media content, interactive fan polls, WWE Superstar and Diva tweets, Touts and more.

Social media Smackdown airs on Syfy tomorrow Friday, March 1 at 8 PM EST.

Smackdown is the second longest-running, weekly episodic program in U.S. primetime TV history, behind only WWE’s Monday Night Raw.

We MMW has reported in recent weeks, World Wrestling Entertainment has become a singular powerhouse in social media, the likes of which makes corporate giants and other global brands jealous.

Earlier this month, in fact, WWE on YouTube hit 1 million subscribers, surpassing other popular YouTube channels such as ESPN, HBO, Comedy Central, Discovery Networks and Apple.

WWE has seen a 340 percent increase in YouTube subscribers over the past twelve months.
