Social networking giant Twitter has just officially tied the knot with iOS.
Today at Apple’s WWDC, it was announced that the longstanding rumor of a system wide Twitter integration in iOS 5 is actually rooted in reality.
Despite the crowded Twitter world that boasts almost as many Twitter apps as there are daily Tweets, iOS 5 promises to make navigating and enjoying the microblogging platform even easier, and all from within almost every nook and cranny of iOS 5.
There are 1 billion Tweets per week now and we want to make it even easier for all our customers to use Twitter in our iOS products.
Thanks to the advancements made possible through iOS 5, users can now Tweet directly from within apps. You can even Tweet directly from Safari and YouTube.
Incredibly, Apple has even made it possible to Tweet from the Camera app.
Taking geo-location Tweeting to a whole new level, users can now Tweet their location from within the Maps app.
Apple similarly impressed its live audience this morning by showing off how users can utilize Twitter to automatically update their iOS contacts if their contacts have Twitter handles.
Based on the demonstration given today at WWDC, users only need to sign in one once in the settings menu before accessing Twitter from virtually anywhere within iOS 5.
