Vine for Twitter may have just been released last week, but the video-sharing app is already embroiled in a controversy of an adult nature.
Not surprisingly, adult video content has already found its way into Vine. And although Vine’s terms of service don’t specifically ban adult video content, Twitter – not surprisingly – seriously frowns upon such content being uploaded.
You are responsible for your use of the Services, for any Content you post to the Services, and for any consequences thereof. The Content you submit, post, or display will be able to be viewed by other users of the Services and through third party services and websites. You should only provide Content that you are comfortable sharing with others under these Terms.
But shortly after Thursday’s Vine launch, pornographic content began turning up on Vine videos. So intense was the first wave of adult content uploads that Twitter was forced to respond over the weekend.
“Uploaded videos that are reported and determined to violate our guidelines will be removed from the site, and the user that posted the video may be terminated,” a Twitter representative tells CNET.
