Valassis, a leader in intelligent media delivery, announced ahead of the weekend that it has partnered with ReachLocal to bring a turnkey Search Engine Marketing (SEM) service to its customers across devices.
The solution “will help small-and-medium-businesses (SMB) efficiently convert local customers and can be used as a stand-alone service or in conjunction with Valassis’ other powerful integrated media solutions such as RedPlum Shared Mail and Valassis’ mobile solutions.”
According to a study by Google surveying more than 4,500 consumers, 80 percent of those surveyed conduct local searches across devices, and 61 percent respond to calls-to-action they encounter through local searches.
In addition, the study found that 50 percent of consumers who conducted a local search on their smartphone, visit a store within one day, while only 34 percent of those who searched on a computer or tablet do the same. With this in mind, local businesses should be optimizing their SEM strategies to capture and convert online traffic into in-store sales.
According to a provided media release, Valassis’ new SEM solution delivers:
- 1,000+ keywords to capture the most searches for clients’ products and services;
- Extensive reach for visibility on top search engines and high-quality specialty sites;
- Daily conversion optimization to fine-tune campaigns and make clients’ dollars work harder; and
- Transparent reporting to track clicks, calls and leads for performance measurement.
“We think our search engine marketing capabilities combined with Valassis media will provide local businesses a powerful strategy for linking consumers’ online and offline journey to these local businesses,” said Steven Prestige, chief revenue officer of ReachLocal.
