UberMedia, a fast-growing leader in utilizing social signals and geo-location data to drive mobile advertising results, is pushing some major talent to the top of the company.
According to details shared with MMW on Thursday, the company has appointed Neil Shapiro as the VP of Sales in the Eastern Region.
Shapiro will be responsible for driving growth of the innovative UberAds platform, and working with brands and agencies to exceed the norms in mobile advertising.
“I’m really excited about what UberMedia is doing for mobile advertising,” Shapiro said in a press release. “Our proprietary audience targeting in UberAds that blends social, interest, and location cues is a really compelling offering for advertisers.”
Shapiro brings more than 14 years of digital experience to UberMedia and was most recently a Vice President at Verve Mobile. Shapiro also previously worked at Shazam, where he was an evangelist for creating a second screen experience, as well as Flixster, The Huffington Post, AOL, IMDB and Sony.
“With our multidimensional first party audience data, unique targeting and cross-device capabilities, UberMedia is the rare mobile advertising platform that brings true differentiation to the market,” said Michael Hayes, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer at UberMedia. “Neil brings more than a decade of digital and mobile experience and has the perfect background to bring this differentiated product to brands and agencies and create campaigns that are unlike anything they’ve seen before.”
