Twitter has gobbled up another talented team in the media sharing space. On Tuesday, the microblogging giant announced the acquisition of a start-up called Posterous.

As of this writing, we don’t know what Twitter paid for the company, but Twitter is also taking along the company’s engineers, executives, and other employees.

For now, Twitter will only say that their new team members will be “working on several key initiatives that will make Twitter even better.”

Posterous Spaces will remain up and running without disruption. We’ll give users ample notice if we make any changes to the service. For users who would like to back up their content or move to another service, we’ll share clear instructions for doing so in the coming weeks.

“We’re always looking for talented people who have the passion and personality to join Twitter,” Twitter announced on its official blog. “Acquisitions have given us people and technology that have enabled us to more quickly build a better Twitter for you.”

Interesting move on Twitter’s part… Do you believe it is more for the talent rather than technology?
