“Location has become the key for marketing looking to bridge the gap between consumer’s activities on and offline, using the mobile device as the context for consumer intent,” the MMA says.
According to BIA/Kelsey’s latest estimate, location is one of the fastest growing segments in mobile marketing, with US location-targeted mobile ad revenues projected to grow from $4.3 billion to $19.3 billion from 2014-18 – a 35 percent annual growth rate.
