The Commercial Times is reporting out of Asia today that Apple will introduce its next-gen iPad Air on October 21st.
This is consistent with previous reports about Apple refreshing its tablet line before the 2014 holiday shopping season.
“The company is planning to hold its next event on Oct. 21, where it will unveil two new iPads and announce the release of OS X Yosemite, the next version of its Mac operating system, according to sources familiar with the matter,” Micah Singleton of The Daily Dot similarly reported last week.
One year ago, on October 22nd, Apple rolled out its iPad Air and second-gen iPad mini.
Following last weekend’s record-breaking launch for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple is riding high once again and looks to capitalize on that momentum into the home stretch of the year.
