T-Mobile may still trail AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint when it comes to 4G LTE network coverage in the U.S., but the nation’s 4th largest carrier continues to cover an impressive amount of ground as it strives to catch up.
T-Mobile has expanded its 4G LTE network “at a blazing fast pace,” the carrier announced this week.
Confirming its coverage of Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, T-Mobile claims its 4G LTE coverage now reaches 180 million people.
All told, that translates to a presence in more than 150 key markers and metro areas.
T-Mobile is also on target to have nationwide 4G LTE network coverage by the end of 2013, reaching 200 million people.
“T-Mobile currently has 17 devices in its 4G LTE device lineup, which means customers can now choose from a broad range of its hottest devices on the market, while also taking advantage of faster web browsing and upload and download speeds,” the company announced Wednesday.
