T-mobile is teasing a major announcement next week.
Next Tuesday, March 26th, the carrier will host a media event in New York where the company will likely unveil significant changes to either its technology or its business – perhaps both.
“The No. 4 U.S. carrier is in the midst of readying an LTE network for commercial launch,” observes Ina Fried of AllThingsD. “It says its network is ready to go in Las Vegas and Kansas City, though it has yet to make it available to customers.”
Suspicions are rampant, however, that an announcement much larger than anything anticipated will be made. The reason for such heightened expectations relates directly to the cryptic media invite T-Mobile began distributing today.
The signature magenta invitation reads: “We’re still a wireless company. We’re just not going to act like one anymore. Join us for an exclusive event.”
Sounds like something major is brewing.
