T-Mobile LTE to Cover Most of The Nation by 2013’s End

AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint aren’t the only carriers making great progress on the upgrades to their respective networks.

T-Mobile confirmed on its quarterly earnings call this week that T-Mobile not only finished 2012 strong, it will finish 2013 even stronger.

John Legere, President and CEO of T-Mobile USA, says T-Mobile is “providing a foundation for executing even bigger game-changing moves in 2013.”

“As the ‘Un-carrier,’ our promise is simple,” Legere adds. “You will see us put customers at the center of everything we do going forward, and that means giving them fair and simple wireless experiences in a way that other carriers never have before.”
As part of that commitment, T-Mobile pledges to cover more than 200 million people with LTE by the end of the year.

Apple’s iPhone, however, will be just as important in T-Mobile’s expansion this year as boosted LTE coverage.

Approximately 100,000 iPhone customers every month are making the switch to T-Mobile under the BYOD plans, the carrier days, bringing the total number of iPhone users currently on the T-Mobile network to more than 2 million.
