On Tuesday, PayOne – a leading provider of mobile payments – confirmed a new direct carrier billing relationship with T-Mobile USA.
The move marks another serious step toward expanding the carrier’s mobile billing options across the T-Mobile network.
“PayOne’s agreement with T-Mobile further expands our worldwide PayOne Global Carrier Network and direct footprint, and provides the broadest global reach, and best payout rates to our merchants,” said Brad Singer, executive vice president of PayOne. “We are pleased to be working closely with T-Mobile to expand mobile payments, as T-Mobile has always been an innovator, and to provide their consumers with a simplified experience for life’s regular habits.”
PayOne’s Mobile payment services and PGCN are now available to merchants worldwide, connecting over 4 billion consumers with merchants in over 80 countries across 1200 operators.
PayOne says that its solutions span virtual currency and goods, digital services, mobile in-app purchasing, and remote convenience purchases such as city parking or movie tickets.
And, from the looks of it, the new partnership makes a lot of sense for T-Mobile.
“The PayOne partnership enables us to expand the digital goods and services we enable our customers to buy with their phone,” said Ian McKerlich, vice president Product Development at T-Mobile USA. “We look forward to working with PayOne and expanding the utility of mobile payments.”
