Sybase Launches Messaging Analytics For Carriers

Sybase Launches Messaging Analytics For CarriersAt CTIA today, Sybase announced a new messaging analytics solution aimed at wireless operators being bombarded with growing demand for SMS/MMS and the services flowing through them.

Dubbed Sybase Operator Analytics 365, the new solution provides mobile operators the ability to run deep analytics on their messaging traffic, delivering the data necessary to quickly make mission-critical decisions to improve customer quality of service.  The powerful Sybase IQ analytics server enables extreme performance, with the ability to return results on billions of records in just seconds.

The platform provides a wide range of reports including message traffic, network utilization, performance indicators, quality of service testing and customer analysis.  By performing advanced analytics on the message traffic mobile operators send across the Sybase 365 global network they can monitor key network components allowing them to provision their network to better serve traffic spikes and lets users view performance trends, analyze system history and track error messages, in order to more effectively diagnose message delivery issues and troubleshoot problems.

We’ll likely see numerous services and solutions aimed at carriers at this year’s CTIA.  With messaging demands playing a vital role in carrier’s bandwidth problems, and the services flowing through SMS/MMS growing larger in terms of data every day, solutions like Operator Analytics 365 are becoming increasingly relevant.
