It’s an unlikely retail partnership that is apparently a done deal.
According to published reports late Thursday, Staples will begin selling Apple’s industry leading iDevice line of smartphones and tablet computers during 2013.
9to5Mac has learned that Staples has announced to corporate employees that it has finalized a deal with Apple to sell Apple products in the United States.
All the proof we needed was provided by Staples’ Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources Regis Mulot, who tweeted the following in response to the recent wave of rumors: “After Canada, #Apple products are coming to #Staples in US. Great news!”
So in addition to the likes of Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and others, it looks like one of the largest office and school supply stores in the United States is also now in the Apple family.
Are you surprised by Apple’s partnership with Staples?
