Marvel Comics maestro Stan Lee is on his way to Comic-Con today to unveil both his new Disney-backed project and its corresponding iPhone app.
Having already created Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Lee is still cranking out new ideas, the latest of which is a digital comic titled “Time Jumper,” which consists of “serialized five-minute episodes with built-in cliffhangers that will be released every two weeks through December.”
For now, Disney has ordered 10 episodes, for which an elaborate viral marketing campaign is already underway to promote the project. Ninety-nine-cent episode downloads will also be available on iTunes.
To kick things off, today a really cool and absolutely free “Time Jumper” iPhone application will be released.
It allows fans to convert their digital photos to “comic book imagery.”
As a comics-nerd, I know exactly what I’ll be up to this weekend!
