Square Cash Delivers New Email Payment Option

Square Cash Delivers New Email Payment OptionMobile payments giant Square has just released a new platform called Square Cash, available now to anyone in the U.S. with a debit card and an email address.

To use Square Cash, you  only need to draft an email to the person you’re paying, enter the amount you want to pay in the subject title, and then cc cash@square.com.

First-time users will be directed to Square’s website where debit card numbers can be input. From there, the process is completed.

Square says there are no accounts to create or software or apps to download. Best of all, the service doesn’t come with any surcharges.

Money automatically deposits to your bank account within 1-2 business days.

“Just securely link your debit card to start sending money. It’s free to send, and free to receive money directly to your U.S. bank account,” Square says. “Your financial information is entered through a secure connection and kept private. You can confirm or reject any transfer.”

Product manager Brian Grassadonia says “the product is 100 percent secure. Nobody is going to get taken advantage of via spoofing.”
