Sprint in a New York State of Mind

Sprint in a New York State of MindAfter AT&T’s launch of 4G LTE coverage in seven new U.S. cities on Wednesday, Sprint is flexing its 4G muscle too today.

And the nation’s third largest carrier is making New York its top priority with the latest network coverage expansion.

For some time now, Sprint has been working to bring 4G LTE to the Bronx and Brooklyn New York. And according to the latest news this week, the carrier expects to have it publicly up and running by next Tuesday July 30th.

Further emphasizing the New York market, Sprint says it will simultaneously improve its 3G network experience in the same region.

Improvements, we are told, are expected to impact both coverage and speed for Sprint subscribers.

Sprint’s 4G LTE coverage currently supports 110 U.S. cities. While that’s still behind AT&T and Verizon’s 4G coverage, Sprint is making fast gains in the race for 4G supremacy.

For now, Sprint continues to offer unlimited data for its users and just recently announced new Unlimited Guarantee plans after the SoftBank deal.
