PapayaMobile – the popular mobile social gaming network with over 35 million users – announced an exciting new partnership Thursday with Tapjoy – a value exchange mobile ad network.
The new partners will work together to use the power of Papaya’s social community and Tapjoy’s in-app marketplace to create a Social Marketplace for Android app developers.
According to details provided in a press release Thursday, the Social Marketplace in question will enable players to discover new mobile games based on the popularity of those games within the Papaya social network.
By delivering recommendations based on which games a user’s friends are playing, the Social Marketplace will enable consumers to see more relevant and targeted ads, while developers will benefit from enhanced engagement and increased monetization of their apps.
The joint offering will be available to developers by the end of the year, PapayaMobile and Tapjoy revealed.
“Our entire business is built around delivering as much value to consumers as possible, and clearly there’s considerable value in helping them discover new games based on what their friends are playing,” says Mihir Shah, President and CEO of Tapjoy. “PapayaMobile’s social network has the scale and reach, particularly across the U.S. and China, to help make our ads further targeted and more engaging for users.”
“Tapjoy is the industry leader when it comes to ad networks that deliver proven, effective distribution and monetization,” added Si Shen, CEO and Co-Founder of PapayaMobile. “By teaming with Tapjoy for a Social Marketplace, we’ll be able to offer game developers the very best advertising solution.”
