The news rang throughout the PC and mobile security world yesterday as disturbing reports continued about billionaire software designer John McAfee, who is allegedly wanted on murder charges in South America.
John McAfee stands accused of shooting a man named Gregory Faull during what some have described as a “heated altercation” over the weekend.
As of this writing, police in Belize think McAfee is the chief suspect.
According to Gizmodo, “McAfee has become increasingly estranged from his fellow expatriates in recent years. His behavior has become increasingly erratic, and by his own admission he had begun associating with some of the most notorious gangsters in Belize.”
“They will kill me if they find me,” McAfee allegedly told Wired reporter Joshua Davis. As far as anyone can presently tell, the tech mega-mogul remains in hiding.
In fact, John McAfee is now even considered by authorities to be “on the run.”
