According to new reports coming to light in the last 24 hours, Apple is preparing to release invites to the press for the company’s next media event.
We’re told that Apple will likely unveil the next-generation iPad on October 22nd before the refreshed device goes on sale during the second week of November.
“The focal point of the gathering will be the latest updates to the company’s iPad line, but the new Mac Pro and OS X Mavericks will likely get some stage time as well, I’m told,” says John Paczkowski of AllThingsD.
There’s also supply chain chatter to indicate that we could even see an iPad mini refresh with Retina display.
Both the next-gen iPad and iPad mini are expected to feature the Touch ID finger print scanner.
