It’s shaping up to be an exciting weekend for developers enamored with the AT&T Developer Program.

On Friday, registration opened for DevLab by AT&T, a one-day programming workshop for developers that is described as being “hands on.”

The workshop is intended to provide a technical deep dive into the latest services and tools for mobile app development.

DevLab will take place in one month. As of this writing, the even in question will take place September 25 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. Interested developers can now register here.

Highlights for the day include introducing developers to AT&T’s new Speech API, part of the AT&T API Platform, and the AT&T Application Resource Optimizer (ARO) which analyzes mobile application efficiency, giving developers the ability to improve battery life and data usage.

“We are very excited to introduce DevLab to the developer community,” said Carlton Hill, vice president of device operations and developer services at AT&T Mobility. “It’s the perfect showcase to feature our cutting-edge technology services for mobile app development while providing an in-depth and fun environment for developers to dig in, learn, network and come away from the event with tools to take their applications to the next level.”
