R2integrated, a company we’ve covered a few times in the past, yesterday announced a new partnership to develop an iPad app for Forbes, dubbed “Forbes Investment Guide Plus.”  The app quickly became the #1 downloaded app in the Finance category in the Apple App Store.

Forbes Investment Guide Plus offers iPad users expanded access to their popular Investment Guide coverage, providing new ideas to help take care of their families financially, think creatively about career options, minimize the cost of investing and taxes, and allocate assets smartly, among other valuable information.  The app was created by R2integrated with help from Baltimore-based development firm, Mindgrub Technologies.

“Forbes consumers depend on us for timely, accurate, and critical information regarding financial planning so it was imperative that we provide them with smooth, reliable iPad app experience,” said  Nina La France, vice president, consumer marketing, Forbes.“We selected R2integrated to spearhead our iPad development because of their technical know-how, service, and track record of success on previous projects for Forbes Media.”

R2i, which is known more for its Internet marketing technology and services, has proven what’s possible with iPad development and can now showcase their talent in the world of mobile applications as well.

“Forbes is a trusted brand that helps people enhance their personal finance knowledge, and make smarter decisions when it comes to financial planning and investments,” said Matt Goddard, CEO, R2i. “To help Forbes shoulder that trust on the technology side of their new iPad app is an honor.”
