The new Paul McCartney album, “Kisses on the Bottom,” is tearing up the charts this week and the legendary Beatle is turning to the digital world to celebrate and promote the hit record.
McCartney will perform a special free live videocast on iTunes this Thursday, February 9th, which will be available worldwide.
The show will take place at the Capitol Records studios at 10 p.m. EST, 7:00 PST.
The iTunes event will be viewable on both PCs and Macs, and it will also mark the first time that McCartney has publicly performed the new music on the much-anticipated album.
Earlier this week, Apple announced that the concert will be available directly on Apple TV as well, another sign that the iPhone-maker has big plans for living room content-streaming in the months and years ahead.
All told, Thursday is shaping up to be a big day for the British rock icon, as McCartney will also receive a star that afternoon on the Hollywood Walk of Fame outside the Capitol Records tower, where John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr similarly have their stars.
