North American Bancard founder and CEO Marc Gardner was recently honored at the 2014 Crain’s Salute to Entrepreneurs Awards. This honor is awarded to Detroit business owners, who have overcome the odds and achieved substantial success as a startup. NAB is a leading provider of merchant services and mobile payments solutions.
Along with the award and prestigious honor, Gardner was included in a panel alongside the other 2014 Crain’s winners. Together they responded to a wide range of questions, aimed at helping other entrepreneurs achieve success.
A few of the recurring topics were spotting industry trends early, and perfecting a way to offer superior services related to the industry trend. Knowing specifically who your business is and is not was another hot topic of conversation. Of course access to capital, can make a big difference in the ability to achieve goals, so adequate funds are essential too.
