February’s Mobile World Congress Barcelona will not only heighten and highlight the hype surrounding Near Field Communications technology, the convention will also put NFC squarely in the driver’s seat for the 2013 festivities.
At February’s event, say organizers, the exhibitors, vendors, and attendees will find themselves at a convention where information and transactions are easily and widely exchanged through mobile via NFC technology.
To take advantage of the “NFC Experience” at the 2013 Mobile World Congress, you will need an NFC compatible handset. The MWC website provides an overview of the current list of compatible NFC-enabled handsets available in the market today.
“Even the landscape of Mobile World Congress will look different in 2013,” the organization says on its website. “While the Mobile World Capital Barcelona remains our host, we’re moving to a state-of-the-art new facility, Fira Gran Via.”
