A new interactive live television application for the iPhone is getting a lot of attention.
Streamezzo, a mobile software platform provider, has partnered up with Atos Worldline, an electronic payments solutions provider to bring the new app to life.
Streamezzo and Atos Worldline recently announced the joint effort behind the interactive live television application for Apple’s iPhone.
With mobile TV expected to be among the biggest entertainment trends of the future, the mobile partners see potential in creating a ready-to-launch platform into which broadcasters can plug their content for distribution to the masses. The service offers all the functionality of Mobile TV such as access to Live TV through the embedded video player, channel grid and interactive Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
According to the official announcement by the firms in partnership, “the service can be easily and quickly customized to the specific requirements of both mobile operators and broadcasters in terms of customizing the look-and-feel, and including additional services such as fast channel switching, video-on-demand catalog and personal video recording including live catch-up TV functionality.”
The same application can also be used for mobile platforms including Android, BlackBerry, Java, Linux, Symbian and Windows Mobile.
