If JamBase has its way, iPhone users will never have a hard time finding a concert again.
JamBase has launched a free iPhone and iPod touch application that shows listings and ticket information spanning its database of more than 70,000 live concerts.
Utilizing the user’s zipcode (or your device’s GPS capabilities), the JamBase iPhone Application determines which events are taking place near you.
Conveniently you can create a “My JamBase” profile, which (sort of like an Amazon.com filter that refers other products you may like) automatically spotlights the preferred artists you select.
According to JamBase, its data “combines member-contributed information as well as submissions from thousands of music industry partners including booking agencies, venues and record labels–the database covers 50,000 artists in genres including rock, funk, country, jazz and hip-hop.”
