If at any point over the next nine days in Austin, Texas at SXSW you find your mobile device in need of an urgent charge, here’s what you need to do.
Look for the nearest St. Bernard.
We’re not joking. Just ask the team at mophie.
Creators of the original juice pack have partnered with the Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation to find homes for the dogs while rescuing mobile device batteries throughout Austin.
Inspired by tales of St. Bernard rescue dogs in the Swiss Alps, the mophieRescue Team will dispatch multiple dogs from the mophieRescue Lodge each hour starting 12pm through 6pm on March 13th, 14th and 15th. All dogs are equipped with mophie power reserve units for those in need of extra juice for their mobile devices. In addition to saving users from low battery life, mophie will work with the St. Bernard Rescue Foundation to drive awareness around St. Bernards who are in need of homes and loving families.
“We’re thrilled to partner with mophie to help raise awareness and hopefully find safe and loving homes for these dogs,” said Olive Ashwell, Marketing Manager for the St. Bernard Rescue Foundation. “There’s a shared sense of passion between both our organizations as this amazing partnership launches at SXSW.”
