More Mobile Messaging Turmoil for Apple

More Mobile Messaging Turmoil for AppleOn Tuesday afternoon, Apple’s iMessage was down for approximately 30% of users during an outage that lasted thirty minutes.

Apple’s system status page confirmed that the outage was detected at 12:35 p.m. PST and was finally resolved at 1:11 p.m. PST.

Countless users, however, said throughout the day that the problem still hasn’t been repaired for them yet.

Apple seems to have the situation largely under control, although it’s impossible to tell how many users may still see some lingering effects from the relatively widespread service implosion.

It goes without saying that Apple has been plagued by similar issues in recent months. Apple’s iCloud, for example, wreaked havoc on millions of users across myriad iOS devices last month as the service dipped, following previously reported outages spanning everything from iCloud email to GameCenter.

As of now, it’s unclear what exactly caused the latest issue or how many users may still be experiencing service glitches.
