Although Apple hasn’t yet revealed any preorder sales stats relating to the third-generation iPad, all signs point to a resounding success for the Cupertino, California-based tech giant.
On Monday the latest evidence came in the form of new order shipping estimates. As of today, new preorders for the third-generation iPad will take up to three weeks for delivery.
Without question, demand is trouncing supply at every turn and across every model.
“Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased,” a spokesperson for Apple says. “Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.”
Just today, analyst Gene Munster with Piper Jaffray went on the record to predict that Apple will sell at least one million iPads this Friday, the device’s first day of availability.
