Apple’s 6th generation iPhone is coming… and soon.
Apart from the wild speculation across the tech blogosphere and supposed supply chain information leaks, the greatest tip-off that Apple is about to launch a new iPhone comes in the form of news that Apple’s major retail partners are cutting prices of old iPhone models.
According to All Things D, Target and Best Buy are the biggest price cutters on the block right now.
Target is offering the Verizon and AT&T flavors of the iPhone 4S for $179, while Best Buy has shaved $50 off the eight gigabyte iPhone 4, selling that model for just $49.
The biggest dip in iPhone-related prices, however, comes from Sprint, which is now selling the iPhone 4S for only $149 – $50 less than the asking price upon release just last year.
According to the latest industry insight, Apple will release the 6th generation iPhone on or around September 12th.
