In its latest Mobile Mix Report for July, Millennial Media indicates that Android and Windows Phone 7 are seeing continued growth in terms of mobile advertising impressions while iOS and RIM remain relatively flat.
In looking deeper at device and manufacturer data from this month’s report, the top 5 device makers in terms of impression share on Millennial’s network include Apple in the number one spot with 26.45%, followed by Samsung at 19.11%, RIM at 11.45%, HTC at 10.98% and Motorola at 10.26%. More specifically, the top 5 handsets include the Apple iPhone at the top of the list, followed by the Samsung Nexus S, the Blackberry Curve, the Motorola Droid, and the Blackberry Bold 2.
In terms of OS, Android dominated with 61% of all impressions — followed by iOS and RIM at 21% and 14% respectively. Interestingly, 33% of all impressions on Millennial’s network came from consumers on a Wi-Fi network (regardless of carrier), and of those Wi-Fi impressions, 53% were from Smartphones and 42% were from “connected devices.” Just 5% were from feature phones.

As always, much more data and colorful charts are available in the actual report, which is available for download here.
