Talk about making a grand entrance.
On Thursday, shares of Millennial Media are the toast of Wall Street, doubling today in the mobile ad company’s long awaited market debut.
As Mobile Marketing Watch reported just yesterday, Millennial Media priced its shares at $13 on the eve of today’s first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
The high water mark for shares of “MM” today – so far at least – was $27.90.
Millennial’s impressive debut closely mirrors that of LinkedIn, which went public in May of last year and closed up 109 percent in its opening day of trading.
All told, it’s a big week on Wall Street for IPOS. Millennial is one of four companies debuts today and one of ten overall this week.
