On Wednesday, the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) announced plans to inaugurate a new, two-day conference and expo created specifically for the mobile marketing industry at Advertising Week 9, 2012.
Millennial Media has stepped up to serve as the founding sponsor of the event – The MMA Mobile Conference and Expo – which will take place from October 2-3, 2012.
According to the official announcement from Millennial Media and the MMA, the Conference and Expo “will bring together leading thinkers in the mobile industry, and the Expo will feature a Global Mobile Pavilion.”
“As the single most important emerging channel, mobile needs to take its rightful place as a key player during Advertising Week,” said Mobile Marketing Association CEO Greg Stuart. “Marketers broadly understand why mobile is critically important, but as the channel and the media landscape swiftly evolve, they need to know how mobile can specifically work for them. With this conference, we will explore how best to make use of mobile to achieve marketing goals.”
“It is becoming increasingly clear that mobile will permanently define the leading edge of the digital advertising business. Launching a compelling, mobile-only event at Advertising Week will be a great opportunity for the industry to come together and discuss the future of the digital medium,” adds Paul Palmieri, President and CEO of Millennial Media and Global Vice Chairman of the MMA. “We’re proud to be the founding sponsor of this groundbreaking conference and expo, and looking forward to bringing together some of the leading minds in the space.”
