Millennial: iOS Ad Requests Jump 47% In January, Android Garners 54% Of Impressions

In its latest “Mobile Mix” Report for January, Millennial Media said that iOS outpaced all other mobile operating systems, experiencing a 47% increase in ad requests month-over-month.  Android, however, remains number one on Millennial’s network with a 54% share of total impressions.

Apple was also the leading device manufacturer on its network with a 24% increase month-over-month, while HTC claimed the number two spot.  HTC is quickly closing the gap with Apple for the top manufacturer spot, according to the report.  Other interesting stats include the Top Ten Country Rating, in which the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea and Japan claimed the top five positions.

Also interesting was that the increase in impression share of “Connected Devices” month-over-month contributed to the increase in Wi-Fi usage, which experienced a 21% increase month-over-month in January.  For full lists, stats, graphs and imagery, download the full report here.
