Microsoft Readying Challenge to Google Glass

In February, Google opened our eyes to the great many possibilities born of a remarkable wearable technology that is being hailed as one of the most significant advancements in personal computing in recent years.

We’re referring, of course, to Google Glass – a sleek technology designed for the human face.

Google Glass delivers a remarkable augmented reality experience that will undoubtedly have profound implications on how we interact with the world around us.

Although the mass-market introduction of Google Glass is still a long way off, Microsoft is said to be preparing a challenge to Google Glass that may be ready by 2014.

Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets revealed in a note to investors on Thursday that he believes Microsoft (MSFT) may be developing its own Internet-connected glasses that would come to market in 2014.

According to Yahoo News, White claims that Google Glass “will be the beginning of a ‘major push’ into wearable technology. Earlier reports have suggested that several big-name technology companies including Apple, Samsung, LG, and Google, are all working on the next-generation of wearable accessories.”
