MMW learned Wednesday that MediaBrix, a company that aims to deliver emotional brand connections, is opening a new Toronto office with the hire of industry expert Brian Fields as vice president of sales for Canada.
“With his comprehensive experience in Canada’s digital advertising industry, Fields will help expand MediaBrix’s international impact on quality mobile advertising, focusing on developing key sales relationships with agencies and brand marketers in the Canadian market,” a statement provided to MMW reads.
“MediaBrix’s approach to emotional advertising on mobile can make a real difference in the Canadian market, and Brian is an ideal and experienced industry professional to establish our mission there,” said Ari Brandt, CEO of MediaBrix. “We’ve always grown carefully and strategically at MediaBrix, and we are confident that Brian is a stellar addition to our talented and dedicated team.”
The opening of a Canadian office follows what the company calls a “key partnership” in the region with Ontario-based messaging app Kik, announced in January, as well as an expansion to the United Kingdom in the past year.
“I am very excited to join the MediaBrix team and bring true innovation to the Canadian advertising market,” said Fields. “MediaBrix’s user-driven approach to helping brands build real, valuable relationships on mobile is unlike anything I’ve seen in my years in the industry. I’m looking forward to contributing to that mission and aiding in the company’s global expansion.”
