Martha Stewart’s Magazine Offers Interactive Ads

Once Martha Stewart was in a cell.

Now, she may be on yours.

SnapTell, a recognized provider of image recognition-based mobile marketing solutions, is having great results so far from the Winter 2009 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, which will enable marketers to provide interactive or live advertisements in the publication.

As you might have guessed, Martha Stewart Weddings is the first bridal magazine to so deeply delve into interactive advertisements.

Having already hit newsstands recently, the magazine features “more than 200 advertisers giving tips from the Martha Stewart Weddings archives, special offers, store locators, ringtones and wallpapers.” The issue allows readers to snap pictures of featured advertisements with a cell-phone camera, send the image to martha@snaptell.com or the short code 707070 (for AT&T and Verizon phones) and instantly get back content from that advertiser.

“We are committed to delivering innovative ways for our advertisers to build on our relationship with readers,” said Amy Wilkins, Senior Vice President, Publisher, Martha Stewart Weddings. “We know our bride is shopping every page of our magazine as she plans her big day. This program allows us to increase her engagement with us and many of our advertisers at a critical time in her planning process. SnapTell’s ease of use and on-demand utility make this an effective and far-reaching solution.”
