In what amounts to one of the biggest joint digital publishing endeavors in recent memory, Next Issue Media – a venture formed by five leading U.S.-based publishers – has confirmed the availability today of “Next Issue” for Apple’s iPad here in the United States.

Partners in the venture include Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp. and Time Inc.

“Next Issue” offers unlimited access plans, presenting its entire catalog of magazines, including back issues, starting at $9.99 per month.
