Localytics Lands $2.5M For Mobile Analytics Platform, Launches New Premium Offering

Localytics, a relatively new startup that provides mobile analytics solutions for app developers and publishers, has landed $2.5M in fresh financing from Launchpad Venture Group, New York Angels and Hub Angels.

The company’s platform helps give app developers and publishers real-time reports on how customers use their applications on Android, Blackberry, iPad and iPhone devices.  The startup’s product can be used to monitor basic usage or custom events as well as enables publishers to dynamically generate custom segments and chart results with hourly granularity.  The platform is already being used by several big-name clients such as News Corp., Skype, Bluefly, RueLaLa, Turner Broadcasting and more and the latest round of financing puts total investment at around $3M.

In addition to the cash round, Localytics is also announcing a new premium product offering that includes a custom charting feature to build and share customized reports along with additional analytics features and more.  In addition, a new App Comparison tool allows developers to compare performance across a number of apps to see which ones are contributing most to growth across different markets and platforms.  The Premium version costs $95 per month for Android, BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone and Windows Phone 7 applications.
