Kindle Becomes Bigger Heavyweight with New Paperwhite

Kindle Becomes Bigger Heavyweight with New PaperwhiteAmazon’s popular line of ereaders is getting another boost today in the form of a much talked about product refresh.

On Tuesday, Amazon announced that the Kindle Paperwhite is “getting even better.”

The all-new Kindle Paperwhite features new display technology with higher contrast, the next generation built-in light, a faster processor, the latest touch technology, and exclusive new features designed from the ground up for readers.

Amazon says the Kindle Paperwhite is available for pre-order starting today.

“Kindle is the best-selling e-reader in the world for six years running,” says Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com Founder and CEO. “No one is investing on behalf of readers or pushing the boundaries of hardware, software and content for readers like this team…”

Amazon says Kindle owners now read four times as many books — print and eBooks – as they did prior to owning a Kindle.
