Just How Much Time Do Millennials Spend On Their Mobile Devices?Millennials make up a young group of folks who grew up with cell phones, computers, and Internet being staples of communication. This means that Millennials are often far more attached to their mobile devices than most older generations of Americans. But just how much time are they truly spending on their mobile devices?

Recently, My.com and Survey Sampling International compiled their research and survey results to answer the question above.

What they found is that 45% of 13 to 18-year-olds spend at least 4 hours each day on mobile devices and that number rises to almost 50% when looking at 19 to 22-year-olds. About one third of both of these age groups spends more than 5 hours per day engaged with their mobile devices.

On top of that, eMarketer estimates that by the end of 2015, 88% of 12 to 17-year-olds who currently have access to the Internet will also own a mobile device. This number increases to over 96% when looking at 18 to 24-year-olds.

On top of the average hours spent online on mobile devices, where time was spent was also studied. All told, all the usual suspects accounted for all of this time spent on mobile — sending text messages, using social media, making phone calls (and having video chats), and checking email.
