Isis, the mobile operator joint venture forged by Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility, and T-Mobile USA – is getting ready for iOS.
That’s the buzz at least on Thursday as speculation ramps up that Isis will soon roll out a new iOS-friendly design for its mobile wallet.
Isis plans to introduce the redesigned user interface for consumers by the third quarter, the NFC Times reports.
The new wallet version, known as Isis Mobile Wallet 2.0, aims for a smoother performance, quicker response times and sleeker and cleaner design, sources said.
Naturally, the new wallet app will be developed mainly for Android although it will work with iOS devices through an NFC-enabled attachment that’s reportedly coming “soon.”
For the time being, Isis continues to conduct a two-city trial in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Austin, Texas.
