Is There a Science Behind Social Media Marketing SuccessSocial media marketers are gaining new insight into what inspires people to follow brands on Twitter.

Thanks to the helpful findings and corresponding infographic from Nielsen Research in the UK, we now know that 52% of new brand followers are seeking deals, while 33% are in search of something available for “free.”

Most importantly, the data confirms, most social media followers (55%) hook up with a brand for no other reason than they “like” the brand to begin with.
