iPhone Coming to Target November 7th

On Monday, Target announced that it will begin selling the iPhone this Sunday, November 7th.

With the holiday season looming, Apple is continuing its aggressive expansion deep into retail territory,

For Target, in particular, it’s the second Apple product arrival in two months. Target began stocking the iPad on October 3rd.

“With expert support from Target Mobile specialists and in-store activation, our guests will be able to leave the store with a new, working iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 in-hand,” said Mark Schindele, senior VP of merchandising for Target.

“Guests can utilize Target’s Electronics Trade-In service which will allow guests to trade-in used cell phones, MP3 players, video games and more for credit towards any purchase at Target.”

Nationwide, 846 Target locations offer Target Mobile centers.

So the red carpet roll out for Apple continues in some of the nation’s biggest retail outlets.

Since mid-summer, the iPhone 4 has been available for purchase through Best Buy and Radio Shack. The iPad, meanwhile, reached all 1,093 Best Buys in the US on September 26th. With added retail exposure from Wal-Mart factored in and considering AT&T and Verizon stores now carry the iPad, the holiday shopping season is poised to be dominated by all things Apple.
