iPad minis Begin Arriving Ahead of Schedule

Thousands of iPad mini buyers were pleasantly surprised today by the unexpected arrival of their iPad mini.

As MMW reported Tuesday, the original shipment date was estimated to be at or around November 21st. It now appears that no shortage of buyers are getting deliveries several days ahead of schedule.

One reader shared with me moments ago that his iPad mini had arrived before 10:00 a.m. Central this morning.

And, in case you’re wondering, he loves it.

As of this afternoon, it is expected that a substantial portion of first iPad mini preorders will still be delivered before the end of day tomorrow – Friday, November 16th.

Although the iPad mini (Wi-Fi model) has been on sale for two weeks now, only this weekend will the iPad mini with 4G connectivity go on sale.

In early November, Apple confirmed that the opening weekend of preorders netted some three million sales for both the iPad mini and the new iPad 4. Apple has not yet provided any insight into how many 4G-ready models of the iPad mini have been ordered.
