iPad 3 Fever Ignites as Apple Begins Sending Invitations to March 7th Event

It’s been a busy morning for Apple news. First, we received word from CNBC that the iPad was coming next week at an Apple media event in New York City. Then, Apple confirmed it. Just not the New York part of the story.

Late Tuesday morning, Apple finally – and without equivocation – verified reports of an early March iPad 3 unveiling by sending out press invitations to a San Francisco, California-based media event scheduled for March 7th.

“We have something you really have to see. And touch,” the invitation reads, emblazoning the message across an obvious image of an iPad.

The event kicks off March 7th at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. As of this writing, it is believed that Apple CEO Tim Cook will be on hand to formally debut and demonstrate the long-awaited third generation Apple tablet.

Mobile Marketing Watch will bring you all the latest news and images from the event as it gets underway next Wednesday.
