IoT Offerings Get More Rugged in Response to Latest Partnerships, Innovations

The Global Deployment of IoT Devices is Getting EasierOur sister site mHealthWatch has learned that Machine-to-Machine (M2M) / Internet of Things (IoT) distributor Novotech Technologies announced it is now an authorized distributor of Gemalto’s cellular connectivity and value added services and platforms.

Details of the agreement were made public on Wednesday.

“The agreement includes Gemalto’s rugged line-up of Cinterion M2M modules and terminals and M2M cloud-based SensorLogic Enablement Platform,” a statement to media reads. “Recognized for their reliability and long lifespan even in the most extreme environments, Gemalto’s Cinterion modules and terminals provide voice, high speed data and IP-based wireless communications with seamless global roaming.”

With its world-first launch of Cinterion Voice over LTE (VoLTE) Category 1 (CAT 1) module, Gemalto enables the combination of simultaneous voice and data capabilities using LTE. It is ideal for solutions migrating to LTE that want to keep the flexibility of cost-effective audio capabilities. This includes security and alarm services, mHealth monitoring as well as smart home and building applications.
